夕方、子どもたちが学校から帰ると、センターにやってきます。

来れる人が来たいだけ。

この日は100人ほどの子どもたちが集まってきました。

 

赤・青・黄色・白　チームに分かれて、大きな布の上で色を混ぜていきます。

サインペンや鉛筆では描いたことがあるけれど、絵の具は初めて！

 

みんな大興奮で、順番を待ちます。

 

日が落ちるまで、みんなで色をつくりました。

ソウルからヴィエンチャンに入りました。

日本を出て、その日のうちに着くことができました。

朝起きると、やわらかなカーテンが目に飛び込んできました。

真夜中に着いたため、全くその表情を変えていました。

丁寧な手仕事があふれる心地よいホテルを出て、朝のマーケットへ。

子どもたちとのワークショップの材料を調達です。

マーケットの喧騒をゆったりと屋根からの光がつつみ、

なんと美しい光りを持った国かと、息をのみました。

ラオスの人々はのんびりのんびり。

人を追い抜かしている姿など全く出会いません。

遥か悠久の歴史とともにつちかった誇り高い文化と技術のある国。

ことテキスタイルについては、染めも織も刺繍もすばらしいものです。

午後からは、ヴィエンチャンから車で30分のセンターでラオスの植物で染めるワークショップに参加しました。www.houeyhongcentre.com

次の日はバスに4時間ゆられて、ヴァンヴィンへ。

この村にあるPhoudindaeng Youth centerでワークショップが始まります。

近くの村にラオスの紙を作っている場所があることが分かり、ワークショップの素材を求めて

センターのスタッフミーティングの後、連れて行ってもらいました。
